Our Name

One of the first things that people often ask about our company is, "Where did the name come from?" To answer that question, when Edgar and his daughter, Darlene, first began the business, they went to an attorney to begin the process. As they were driving there, Edgar was sharing some Scripture he had been reading that morning, Proverbs 3:6. Darlene had been reading the very same Scripture that morning. Over the next few days, Edgar came up with the idea of naming the company with an acronym from that verse.

"In All Thy Ways Acknowledge Him..."

We pronounce it EYE-uh-twah. This verse (Proverbs 3:6) has proven itself true many times in the history of our business. We believe our paths have been directed, and we consider this verse to be something of a motto and guide for our decision-making.

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6

Our Founder

Edgar L. Jones
1933-1999

A single product developed by the hands of Edgar and his daughter, Darlene, became a vision that lasted for 22 years and a legacy that continues today. His work ethic and his passion for promoting IATWAH and its products led him to travel many roads around Kentucky, Indiana, and the Southeastern United States. He loved talking to the people he met on his travels, and many of them remember him fondly.
